This derby aims to bring the youth together to enjoy the love of fishing and, of course to have fun.

Registration: $150 PER TEAM

Rules and Regulations

The purpose of this event is to bring the Youth together to enjoy the love of fishing and course to learn more and to have fun!

  1. Inscription is to be paid before the departure of the derby.
  2. 4 per team. (Max 3 youth is mandatory)
  3. Life jackets are MANDATORY for all youth.
  4. Open to ages up to 17 years old.
  5. $150 per team.
  6. IRON ARM ONLY!
  7. Lake trout only, 26 inches and over.
  8. Check-in/Check-out point: SR David Swappie s camp
  9. Start time: 8:00 A.M – End Time: 5:00 P.M
  10. 6 biggest fish will be weighed-in for competition.
  11. Check-Out time is exactly at 5:00 P.M. Penalties will start after 5:00 P.M.
  12. PENALTIES
    • Teams arriving after 5:00 P.M will lose 1 of 6 eligible fish.
    • Fishes brought in less than 26 inches, automatic loss of 5lbs of the total fishes weighed in.
  13. Underwater nets and down riggers will not be allowed.
  14. Drugs and Alcohol will not be tolerated during the derby.

Each team is responsible for their own equipment during the derby

The organizers will not be responsible for any damages, theft, and accidents. This Derby is like the Fishing Derbies that are held in the Fall time. Let’s all be careful, and we shall watch on one another.
