Climbing Wall Grand Opening flyer. At the top is the climbing wall logo, a silhouette of a climber on a bouldering wall beside the wall's name in Naskapi syllabics, surrounded by colourful climbing holds. A photo shows a group of people kneeling on the ground assembling metal wall framing. Another photo shows the blue and white Shinapest Tooma Memorial Arena. Text reads: Climbing Wall Grand Opening. Kawawachikamach is getting a climbing wall! Sunday August 23, 11 AM to 4 PM, Shinapest Tooma Memorial Arena. Special thanks to our sponsors.

It is happening. Kawawachikamach is getting a climbing wall, and you are invited to the grand opening. Come to the Shinapest Tooma Memorial Arena on Sunday, August 23, and be there when we open it up.

When and where

Date: Sunday, August 23
Time: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Location: Shinapest Tooma Memorial Arena

What we are opening

A climbing wall of our own, right here in the community. It has been built, piece by piece, by people working on the arena floor these past weeks. Come see it, come try it, come cheer on whoever gets up it first.

The logo on the wall is ours too. It came from Emma-Jade Ashini, who won our community logo contest earlier this summer, alongside Skyla Tooma and Minay Tooma.

Special thanks to our sponsors

This wall exists because a lot of people helped make it happen:

What’s next
