Are you a full-time high school student looking for summer work? The Naskapi Nation Summer Student Employment Initiative is hiring for the 2026 season.

When: Monday, June 22 to Friday, August 7, 2026 (up to six weeks)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Who can apply: Full-time high school students only

What we are hiring for:

  • Mechanic Helper (1 position) at the Uapenuta Garage
  • Labourer (3 positions) with the Department of Public Works
  • Custodian (2 positions) at Jimmy Sandy Memorial School
  • Healthy Food Cook (1 position) at the Naskapi Community Center for the Summer Day Camp
  • Healthy Food Assistant (1 position) at the Naskapi Community Center for the Summer Day Camp
  • Camp Counsellor (10 positions) at the Naskapi Community Center for the Summer Day Camp
  • Assistant Camp Counsellor (5 positions) at the Naskapi Community Center for the Summer Day Camp
  • Evening Animator (1 position) at the Naskapi Recreation Facility for the Summer Day Camp
  • Assistant Lifeguard (1 position) at the Naskapi Recreation Facility for the Summer Day Camp

The duties for each role will be decided by the supervisor of each department.
