Nominations are open for Youth Trustee

The Taasipitaakin Trust is looking for a Youth Trustee. If you are between 18 and 35, this is your chance to help look after the Nation’s money for future generations.

You can nominate yourself, or nominate someone else you think would do a good job.

What the Taasipitaakin Trust is

The Taasipitaakin Trust is the Naskapi Nation’s long-term investment fund. It was set up in July 2023 to protect, invest and manage money from the Aganow Agreement and other commercial activities, so that it benefits future generations of Naskapi people.

How the Trust reports to the community

The trustees report to the community regularly. At the community financial update, anyone can come and hear how the Trust is doing and ask questions. Elders, youth and adults are all encouraged to attend, and dinner is provided.
