Our Council sat down this week with Matimekush-Lac John to talk through the files we share and the issues facing both our communities.
Neighbours and relatives
Kawawachikamach and Matimekush-Lac John are neighbours. We share a region, we share roads and rail, and a great many of our families are connected across both communities. When our priorities line up, we are stronger working together than apart.
That was the spirit of this meeting: respectful dialogue, honest defense of our own interests, and finding the places where our work overlaps.
