Have you lost track of a child?

If a child from your family was sent to a Quebec institution before December 1992 and you lost track of them, you have the right to look for them. AWACAK is a family association dedicated to helping reconnect families with children lost after a medivac, and they are in the community now to sit down with people.

About Bill 79

If a child was sent to a Quebec institution before December 1992, Bill 79 gives families the right to access medical files and religious archives to help find them. Those records were closed to families for a long time. Bill 79 opens them.

How AWACAK can help

Accessing medical files. Bill 79 unlocks medical files for children sent to Quebec institutions before December 1992.

Religious archives. Religious archives can also be accessed to help trace and reconnect families with lost children.

Family support. AWACAK provides compassionate guidance and support throughout the search process.
