The Women’s Gathering is coming up, and we need good people to help keep it safe. The Naskapi Nation is hiring four Security Staff to provide security and safety support during the Women’s Gathering, September 4 to 9, 2026. These positions are open to both men and women.
About the role
Security Staff help keep the gathering safe and welcoming for everyone there. You would keep an eye on entrances, exits, and gathering areas, help with crowd management, and respond calmly and professionally if anything comes up. It is steady, people-facing work in service of a good week on the land.

What you would do
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all attendees
- Monitor entrances, exits, and gathering areas
- Assist with crowd management and general security concerns
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents or emergencies
- Follow event security procedures and instructions from the event coordinators
- Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly
What we are looking for
- Responsible, dependable, and professional
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous security or event experience is an asset
- Able to stay calm and attentive in a busy event environment
- A security license or certification is an asset, where required
- A drug test is recommended for all security staff, to help keep the gathering safe and secure
