An Élections Québec team is coming to Kawawachikamach on Saturday, September 26. They will be at the Naskapi Community Center from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and while they are here you can register on the list of electors, update your information, and cast your vote for the 2026 provincial election. All three in one stop, without leaving the community.
This is part of a tour running from Friday, September 25 to Thursday, October 1, when teams from Élections Québec are travelling to several communities. You can vote here even if you are from another community or another electoral division. Your ballot is for a candidate in the electoral division where you live.
Polling day across Québec is Monday, October 5, so this Saturday is your chance to take care of it close to home.

What to bring
Bring ONE of these identification documents. They are accepted even if they have expired:
- Québec health insurance card
- Québec driver’s licence
- Indian status card
- Canadian passport
- Canadian Forces identification card
If you do not have one of those
You still have two ways to vote.
Ask someone who knows you, and who has one of the documents listed above in their own name, to come with you and confirm your identity. That person can identify one other elector besides themselves.
Or bring two documents that carry your name, one of which shows your photo.
In both cases you will sign a document confirming that you are the person entered on the list of electors.
Help an elder or a family member
If someone in your family needs a ride, or would rather not go alone, go with them. The team is there for the full nine hours, so there is room in the day for everyone.
