The Women’s Gathering is coming, and the tents need their floors. The Naskapi Nation is hiring four Branch Gatherers to bring in the boughs for the gathering, out on the land from August 27 to September 5.

About the work

Branch gathering is the work of heading out to cut and haul the spruce boughs that line the floors of the gathering tents. It is good, hands-on work on the land, and it is part of what makes the gathering ready to welcome everyone. Having your own truck and a valid driver’s license is preferable, since there is hauling to do.
