The Elder’s Gathering is one of the highlights of our year, and it takes a good crew to make it happen. The Naskapi Nation is hiring eight workers to help run the kitchen and the camp for the Elder’s Gathering 2026.

About the work

This is camp work in service of our Elders: cooking their meals, keeping the kitchen going, and helping out around the gathering so our Elders are well looked after. If you like feeding people and being part of something that matters to the community, this is your kind of job.

Open positions

Kitchen

  • 2 cooks (main cooks)
  • 2 assistant cooks (to help the cooks)
  • 2 kitchen helpers (to help prepare before and after each meal and to clean dishes)

Camp

  • 2 general labourers (to help around the camp for the Elders)
