We’re excited to announce a new opportunity for Naskapi beneficiaries to apply for housing! These units are specially designed to meet a variety of needs, including two accessible homes for elders, four single-family units, and two duplexes. If you or someone you know is in need of housing, please review the details below to see if you qualify.

  • Elder’s Accessible Homes: 2 units
  • Single-Family Units: 4 units
  • Duplexes: 2 units

Important Deadline:

All applications must be submitted by December 1, 2024, at 5pm. This deadline ensures that every applicant has an equal opportunity to be considered.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Naskapi Beneficiary Status – Applicants must be registered Naskapi beneficiaries and be 18 years or older.
  2. Good Standing with Housing Programs – Applicants must be in good standing with Naskapi or other subsidized housing programs.
  3. Zero Arrears Balance – A zero arrears balance is required. However, applicants who are actively paying down any remaining debt to social housing programs may still be eligible.
  4. Release Form for Automatic Deductions – All applicants will be asked to sign a release form allowing automatic deductions.
  5. Proof of Annual Household Income – Applicants must submit proof of their annual household income, if it is below $47,000.

These requirements are designed to prioritize those who meet specific financial and community standing needs, ensuring that our community members in greatest need have access to housing.
