JOB SUMMARY
The Wellness Centre is looking for a thorough and organized Finance Administrator to manage the organization’s financial system and procedures. The successful candidate will be hired to prepare and report financial reports for the Nation’s Contribution Agreement with Indigenous Service Canada.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Payable, ensuring thorough upkeep of transaction records and payments.
- Report on Financial Transactions, such as cash flow, and address any discrepancies.
- Manage Travel Arrangements.
- Serve as Liaison with the Naskapi CLSC, obtaining financial reports for various programs.
- Assist the Indigenous Wellness Director with preparing the annual budget, including financial results for the yearly reports and statements to each operating unit.
- Collaborate with the Nation’s Finance Department in providing recurring reports.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources Manager in recruiting efforts.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma.
- CEGEP or college diploma in a relevant field will be considered an asset.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English and Naskapi, spoken and written. Knowledge of French will be considered an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain confidentiality.
