We are excited to share information about an upcoming opportunity that aligns with Quebec Native Women’s (QNW) mission to empower Indigenous women in their communities. Although the Naskapi Nation is not hosting or affiliated with this event, we encourage all Naskapi women to participate in this meaningful event.
Event Details:
- Date: Wednesday, October 23, 2024
- Time: 6:00 PM
- Location: Virtual Meeting via Zoom
Nominations Open:
Three positions are to be filled as part of the QNW delegation for the Quebec Native Women’s General Assembly, scheduled for November 30 to December 1, 2024. These include:
- Nation Representative on the QNW Board of Directors
- Elder Representative (age 55+)
- Youth Representative (age 18-35)
This is a great opportunity to engage in discussions about Indigenous women’s rights and to represent your community at the regional level.
Mission of QNW:
The Quebec Native Women’s organization supports Indigenous women in improving their living conditions. This includes:
- Promoting non-violence, justice, and equality
- Advocating for equal rights and health access
- Supporting women’s engagement in community life
Through these events, QNW encourages exchanging ideas and discussions about individual and collective women’s rights.
