The Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach, in collaboration with TATA Steel Minerals Canada, would like to inform the community about an upcoming blast scheduled at Fleming 7 Pit. This notice is especially important for hunters, campers, and anyone traveling near the area to ensure safety and minimize any disruptions.

Blast Details:
- Location: Fleming 7 Pit (as shown on the blast radius map).
- The map indicates:
- 500m personnel blast radius (red dashed line).
- 300m equipment blast radius (blue solid line).
Road Closure:
- The road leading to the camp will be temporarily closed for approximately 20 minutes during the blast.
- This closure is necessary for the safety of anyone in the vicinity, but no evacuation is required.
What You Should Know:
- There is no need for evacuation; however, please avoid the area during the blast time.
- The blast is part of regular operations at the Fleming 7 Pit, and the safety measures in place are designed to protect both the community and the environment.
- After the blast, the area will be cleared, and normal access to the camp will resume.
