We’re very grateful to everyone who attended the Caribou Hunt presentation tonight, as well as to those who joined us online.

There were two presentations: one discussing the status of the caribou herds on our land, and the second examining the management of hunting on lands shared with the Cree and Inuit.

In the coming days, we will share both presentations and post discussion questions online, allowing those who were unable to attend the presentation to participate.

In the meantime, we want to thank:
Our Elders, who came out in force and talked about the traditional ways of harvesting and sharing caribou,
Our hunters, who shared their perspectives on how things can be better,
Our community, which showed up to support,
Noah Swappie, for stepping in to translate for us,
Natalie D’Astous and Robert Prevost for organizing the presentations and answering our many, many questions,
Sichuun for live streaming the presentations and discussions.
and Benjamin Jancewicz for the photography.
