The Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach is inviting applications for two Assistant Forestry Technicians to join a short-term forest inventory project taking place from October 15 to 20, 2025, in partnership with Group DESFOR.

This five-day contract offers hands-on experience in forestry surveying and is part of a capacity-building initiative designed to help Naskapi community members gain new skills in environmental and land-based work.

About the Role:
Participants will assist in forest inventory operations, handle materials and equipment, and gain introductory training in forestry surveying. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, learning about the land, and contributing to environmental projects that benefit our community.
