The Naskapi Nation and CLSC Naskapi have partnered with the Martin Family Initiative (MFI) to co-develop a culturally grounded Early Years program that supports educators and early learning professionals working with families of children aged 0–6. This initiative celebrates the Naskapi way of life and aims to create meaningful resources rooted in community knowledge and experience.

As part of this important work, the MFI team will be in Kawawachikamach from May 19 to 23, 2025 to photograph families and children throughout the community. The photos will reflect everyday moments—from pregnancy to preschool—and will be featured in new Early Years training and learning materials, both online and in print.

📸 How You Can Participate
Families with children aged 0–6 are invited to be part of this photography project. All participants will receive copies of the photos, as well as an honorarium as a thank-you for their time.
