The Children’s Dollar Store is coming back this year, and the Wellness Center is inviting the community to support it. This event gives local children a chance to choose a Christmas gift for someone they care about; each item will cost them just one dollar. It is a small gesture that goes a long way in helping kids feel proud and included during the holiday season.
Donations of new items are needed to stock the store. These can be toys, household items, self-care products, small tools, accessories, crafts, or anything appropriate for children to gift to family members. If you would like to contribute, please drop off your items at the Wellness Center.
The Children’s Dollar Store will open on December 21st. Wrapping paper will also be provided so kids can wrap their gifts before bringing them home.
If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Melissa Peastitute or Naomi Einish.
Thank you for supporting this effort and helping bring a bit of holiday joy to Naskapi children and their families. Happy Holidays!
