
The Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach is currently seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an Elders’ Service Driver.
Position: Elders’ Service Driver (1 position)
Start Date: November 2025
Hours: 30 hours per week — some evenings and weekends required
Location: Kawawachikamach
Salary: Based on the Naskapi Nation Salary Scale
Working under the supervision of the Land-Based Director, the Elders’ Service Driver will support Elders and individuals with limited mobility by providing safe and respectful transportation services. The role includes assisting passengers with boarding and unloading, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, and ensuring a reliable service that upholds the dignity of all passengers.
Requirements include:
- Minimum Secondary 3 education (High School Diploma an asset)
- Class 4B license for at least 12 months (SAAQ)
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience or training as a “Préposé aux bénéficiaires (PAB)” or equivalent
- Physically fit, responsible, and respectful
- Fluent in Naskapi and English
