Join us on Thursday, October 23 at 5 PM at the Naskapi Community Center for a special evening dedicated to uncovering and celebrating Naskapi history.
This exhibition will showcase ancient Naskapi artifacts discovered over many years of archaeological research on our land. These objects tell powerful stories about how our ancestors lived, travelled, and understood the world around them.
Visitors will also have the chance to learn about the archaeology project, speak directly with the team behind the research, and see the artifacts up close.
We are excited to welcome archaeologists Moira McAffrey and David Denton back to Kawawachikamach. Their ongoing work continues to reveal new insights into our shared past and strengthen our connection to the land.
