The Naskapi Nation is building a community services directory — a list of people, teams, and small businesses available for work in and around Kawawachikamach.
This directory will make it easier for us to connect local workers with opportunities, whether they come from within the community or from visiting organizations who need help with catering, decorating, cleaning, childcare, construction, or other services.
By creating this directory, we’re also working to standardize payment rates so that everyone is treated fairly. It will help us balance how often people are called on for jobs, while ensuring that compensation is consistent and transparent.
The Naskapi Services Directory will be used not just by the Naskapi Nation, but also by external groups and visitors who wish to hire Naskapi workers or businesses for projects, events, or community work.
