The Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach is looking for a dedicated and organized individual to join our Nation Office as a Travel Assistant.

This is a full-time permanent position starting in June 2025, with a rotating 35-hour-per-week schedule, including some evenings and weekends. A three-month probation period applies.

As Travel Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting travelers from our community—booking flights, organizing accommodations, helping with documentation, and responding quickly to changes or emergencies. You’ll work under the supervision of the Travel Clerk and assist with administrative tasks that keep our travel operations running smoothly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (preference given to those with a relevant college diploma)
  • Administrative experience and previous work in a First Nation community are assets
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); Naskapi and French are assets
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain confidentiality
