The Naskapi Nation is getting close to finalizing our Self-Government Agreement with the Government of Canada. This agreement is an important step in defining how our Nation governs itself and secures resources for the future.

There’s just one chapter left to complete: the Fiscal Chapter — and it will determine how our Nation is funded going forward. Canada has presented new funding options, and Council is asking for the community’s input before continuing negotiations.
