Déclaration de la Nation Naskapie de Kawawachikamach
Au nom de la Nation Naskapie de Kawawachikamach, nous félicitons chaleureusement M. Paul St-Pierre Plamondon pour son assermentation à titre de premier ministre du Québec, le 21 octobre.
Les électeurs lui ont accordé leur confiance, et nous avons hâte de travailler avec lui et avec son gouvernement sur les dossiers qui comptent pour notre communauté et pour tout le Nord.
La Nation Naskapie est signataire de la Convention du Nord-Est québécois. Depuis 1978, nous travaillons avec chaque gouvernement du Québec, et nous entendons poursuivre ce travail de nation à nation, dans le respect de nos ententes.
Nous serions honorés d’accueillir le premier ministre à Kawawachikamach, pour qu’il puisse rencontrer notre communauté et voir de ses propres yeux la réalité du Nord.
Nous souhaitons au premier ministre et à son nouveau gouvernement beaucoup de succès dans les travaux à venir.

Statement from the Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach
On behalf of the Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach, we warmly congratulate Mr. Paul St-Pierre Plamondon on being sworn in as Premier of Québec on October 21.
Voters have placed their trust in him, and we look forward to working with him and his government on the issues that matter to our community and to the whole North.
The Naskapi Nation is a signatory of the Northeastern Québec Agreement. Since 1978, we have worked with every Québec government, and we intend to continue that work nation to nation, with respect for our agreements.
We would be honoured to welcome the Premier to Kawawachikamach, so he can meet our community and see the realities of the North for himself.
We wish the Premier and his new government every success in the work ahead.
