The Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach invites all community members to take part in the upcoming Nominations for Committees and the Board of Directors of Naskapi Relief Services Inc.

Nomination papers are available at the Nation Office, and community members can submit their nominations on Tuesday, November 18 and Thursday, November 20, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Each nominee must be supported by at least three electors of the Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach, and all nomination papers must be duly signed and dated by both the nominee and the electors before being submitted to the Presiding Officer.

The following positions are open for nomination:

  • Housing Committee (2 members)
  • Hunter Support Program Committee (4 members)
  • Naskapi Local Management Board / Community Economic Development Organization (2 members)
  • Naskapi Relief Services – Board of Directors (6 members)

All Naskapi beneficiaries who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to participate and help strengthen the governance of our community organizations.
